This client’s outdoor living area sits along the north-facing façade of their newly built home, looking out over a lush tropical garden and an ethereal infinity pool. With such a beautiful architectural and natural setting, the existing outdoor cushions were no longer doing the space justice. The brief was to introduce a fresh, contemporary look that felt both inviting and refined.

To achieve this, I curated a layered mix of fabrics with tactile interest and tonal balance. A striking abstract print from Mokum immediately brings movement and personality to the back cushions, while a chunky green weave introduces a grounded, nature-inspired pop of colour. To complete the palette, I incorporated a classic Ahlambra houndstooth, adding timeless structure and contrast.

The result is a comfortable and considered seating area that enhances the surrounding architecture and landscape — now the perfect place to unwind with a quiet gin and tonic at the end of a busy day.

If your outdoor space could use a refresh, I’d be delighted to discuss how we can elevate it with thoughtful fabric selection and tailored soft furnishings.
